We all want the awards that come along with screening at film festivals but what do they REALLY do for your film? PLUS: how to get them and how to maximize them once you have them.

This post is for those of you who are vying for the brass ring on the current festival circuit and will hopefully give you a few tips not only how to GET the awards but what to do with them after, because that is going to have the most impact for you and your film. Not simply winning: but what you do after.

Also - this post is for all the films who DON’T get the accolades, because I have a super big secret to share with you about festival awards that will shock you.

So in the words of Lady Whistledown, dearest gentle reader… let’s go.
